Snow Day & National Champs

Atlanta has been shut down since Sunday because of all the snow and ice! Roads, businesses and schools have been closed all week and we all have cabin fever! But it has been a fun week with all the deep white snow and extra time with Dad home! Monday night made our year when Auburn won the National Championship! What a game! Here are snow pics and our two AU fans all dressed up to cheer on the Tigers!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We had a wonderful Christmas, first celebrating in Atlanta with the Barfields and then driving to New York for a white Christmas with the Swanson clan. The 14 hour car ride there was successful but the 17 hour return trip was a little draining because of all the traffic! All in all, the kids did great! Check out the pictures from the holidays!

Holiday Fun

What a busy and fun season! Anderson is doing great; he is now 12 weeks old. He is still not sleeping through the night (he gets up between 3:30 and 5 am every morning) so we are tired but he is a very happy and fun baby so we forgive him! :) Elle is so excited about Christmas and all the fun activities and she loves saying that "It is Baby Jesus Birthday Party soon!" She does not like Santa so she gets sad if I bring him up so we leave Santa out of the Christmas conversations! Here are a couple of pics from the last two weeks.

Happy Thanksgiving

It has been a great Thanksgiving holiday despite the family sickness that has been going around to each of us (even Anderson had a runny nose for a couple of days). We have been enjoying the holiday season and we got our tree up and decorated before the calendar flipped to December! Here are some pictures from the last week.

2 months

We have known Anderson for 2 whole months now. It feels like two years and two seconds all at the same time. Here are some pictures from the last couple of days. We have been busy despite Elle's double ear infection and Anderson's eating issues (which are seeming to get better). Right now, as I type, Elle is supposed to be napping and she is yelling out, "Cara, where are you?" from her bed! I guess she figured that since calling out to Mommy was not getting results she would try Cara!!

7 weeks & 31 months

Our babes are growing fast! Elle is 31 months and Anderson is 7 weeks. Things are getting more normal (a NEW normal) each week as we all adjust! Mom is getting more sleep but still getting up in the night for feeding time so TIRED is the new normal! Elle is adjusting to a little brother and Anderson is adjusting to a very hands on (and sometime those hands are pretty rough!) and loud older sister! We are looking forward to the holidays and enjoying the time with the kids because even though they are so hectic we know they pass quickly!

Halloween

We had two precious cows roaming the neighborhood on Halloween night! It was Elle's first time treat-or-treating and she had so much fun with her friend Kenley (who was Dorothy!). Elle was hysterical, yelling out after each house, "Mom, I got CANDY!" She could not believe that all these people were willingly handing out candy after she said "Trick-or-treat!"
